MG IRELAND ACHIEVES RECORD JULY 2023 SALES RESULT

• MG announces record results for July of 2023, now positioned as the fifth-best selling manufacturer of electric cars in Ireland for 2023.
• The company has sold 1,243 cars so far this year, with 725 delivered in July alone.
• The MG4 EV is also the best-selling electric car of July.

MG Motor Ireland has announced record results for July of 2023 – with new SIMI data establishing the company as the fifth best-selling manufacturer of electric cars in Ireland this year.

This year, MG has seen a remarkable 208% surge in new car registrations, amounting to 1,243 vehicles. This achievement has solidified MG's position as a serious player in Ireland's electric vehicle market, as its market share in the electric car segment has reached an impressive 6.2%.

For the month of July, the MG4 EV has secured the position as the top-selling new electric car, impressing customers with its attractive design, practicality, and excellent value for money.

Since its launch last year, the multi-award-winning model has proven a popular choice among customers, with over 800 units delivered this year.

According to new SIMI figures*, MG registered 725 cars in July alone – signalling the increasing popularity of MG’s range of affordable electric, and plug-in hybrid models.

The MG4 line-up will continue to grow with the introduction of a new extended-range model and the new MG4 EV XPOWER. The new XPOWER model, MG’s most powerful production car yet, features a highly anticipated dual motor powertrain delivering 435PS and up to 600Nm of torque, firmly positioning the latest MG4 model alongside the most potent high-performance hatchbacks on the market. Irish pricing and specifications will be announced later this year.

MG Motor Ireland currently offers four models the MG4 EV, MG5 EV, MG ZS EV and MG HS PHEV, all of which are available for immediate delivery and supported by MG’s 7-year warranty and nationwide dealership network.
