As well as increased battery capacity,the charging capacity has also been improved. The MG5 can now be charged up to 80% in 40 minutes.*

The MG5 EV uses a large module cell pack solution. This both improves the battery pack strength and reduces the battery pack weight to reach an ideal range.
Despite the MG5 not being designed as a sports car, it can still accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds, with a max speed of 185km/h.
